About CCA

Whatever It Takes

Established in 2001, Chesapeake Community Advisors is one of the nation’s leading community development consulting firms, having served as a development consultant for more than 90 developments in 15 states. In that time, our development work has included affordable multifamily and market rate rental, historic renovations, affordable homeownership and multi-use developments.

Being a transaction-based firm, CCA specializes in structuring and developing low-income, historic, new market tax credit and federally financed projects. In our role as developers and owners of affordable residential properties, we bring a unique understanding to the development process for both new construction and preservation.

Whether providing our services individually or acting as a turn-key developer, our diverse team of experienced financial, development, syndication and disposition specialists will work with you to complete your projects on schedule – and on budget.

Our Mission

To create – and help others create – sustainable and profitable real estate developments that improve their communities.

What Others Are Saying About Us

We were aspiring to take one of our HUD projects through a LIHTC transaction to receive much needed rehab of a senior building in Detroit.  We weren't equipped to handle the process ourselves and not knowing where to turn, CCA came highly recommended by a colleague.  We haven't looked back since.  David Prout and the CCA team guided us and the nonprofit owners through the full development process.  They took the worries out of our hands and led us down the path.  Their vast knowledge of the LIHTC process; working with he governmental agencies; obtaining LP investors and the smooth construction process during the tenant in place rehabs were over the top.  They are true leaders in the industry.  We have since taken three other projects through the process and another in the pipline.
